Mariel Rodriguez breaks up her silence and finally confirmed to the public that she will be leaving the Kapamilya Network, ABS-CBN.
A lot of speculations and rumors came out last week about Mariel’s possible transferring to another network and just last Friday she texted all of her fans via K-text message confirming the news.
In her text message, Mariel said that she already gave her goodbye and thanks to the officials of Kapamilya network who gave her the opportunity to shine in Television through the breaks and opportunity that was given to her.
She also mentioned all the people that she have met and work with along the way especially those who became her good friends and companions in showbiz that she will never forget.
Mariel pays back to Kapamilya network by acknowledging ABS-CBN as the one who molded her as a host and a showbiz personality. She said that it was ABS who gave her the career thus she is very much thankful about it.
Among those important people whom she mentioned are the big bosses of ABS-CBN, Mr. Gabby Lopez, and President Charo Santos Concio, Cory Vidanes- channel head of ABS, TV Entertainment Head Linggit Tan and Corporate Communications Head Bong Osorio.
The TV host-actress also expressed her deepest gratitude to the two persons who opened the door for her to be well known, Director Lauren Dyogi and King of talk Boy Abunda.
Mariel worked with Director Lauren in the reality TV show, Pinoy Big Brother which became her stepping stone for other opportunities to open and Mr. Boy Abunda who became her manager and mentor in showbiz.
Although her decision is already final, Mariel still admitted that leaving ABS is really hard for her knowing that she will seldom see a lot of her friends but added that there are things that must be done in order for her to grow.
She ended up her statement saying that she will always consider ABS as her home and hopes that she come back again to the network and work with those wonderful people she have met along the way.
