Group C Matches showcased the East Asian team powerhouse Japan dominating the second best team from South East Asia, Indonesia with a score at 81-59. The Indonesians were no match to the talents that the Japanese squad had compiled for their quest of the elusive Olympics berth for Asia.
On the early part of the game the Japanese had left behind the Indonesians with a 14-0 run but the small but aggressive Indonesians had came back and answered a 7-0 run to get closer but their effort were just not enough for the more prepared Japanese National Basketball team.
At the end of the first half the Japanese had once again dominated the Indonesians with a 15-2 run before going to the dug-out. The Japanese had never look back after their run against the Indonesians.
Top scoring for the Japanese national basketball team were Takeuchi Joji with 11 points and Takeuchi, Kosuke with 10 points, while Kawamura, Takuya added 10 points.
Indonesia relies mostly from Christian Ronald Setipu which exploded with 14 points and Andi Poedjakesuma with 12 points for the Indonesian National Basketball Team.
Meanwhile on the other results of the game for the first day of the competition. Jordan had defeated Syria with a score of 71-58 to lead the standing at Group C and Iran dominated Taiwan with a low scoring ballgame at 49-37 for the Group B.
