Our very own Filipina beauty Miss Shamcey Supsup was named as the 3rd Runner-up of the 60th Miss Universe Beauty Pageant, the most prestigious beauty contest in the world today. The pride of the Philippines was one of the favorites as she journeys down to the top 5 pageants during the final question and answer portion.
Miss Universe Philippines Shamcey Supsup was behind the eventual winner of this year’s Miss Universe from Angola, Miss Leila Lopes. Topping the list at the top 5 Miss Universe contestants were, Oleysa Stefanko (Ukraine) – 1st runner-up; Priscila Machado (Brazil)– 2nd Runner-Up; Shamcey Supsup (Philippines) – 3rd runner up and Zilin Luo (China) – 4th runner up.
The Philippines had once again proved to the world that Filipinos were indeed a world-cl(–foul word(s) removed–) beauties having previously won two Miss Universe title for the tiny island nation in the Pacific. The Philippines had two Miss Universe crown already through the effort of Miss Gloria Diaz (1969) and Miss Maria Margarita Moran (1972).
Miss Philippines Shamcey Supsup was surprised during the announcement of the top 16 having her named not called until the last two remaining contestants although she was considered as one of the favorites to make it to the semi-finals of the contest.
To the surprised of the Filipino fans who had been alarmed during the not so early calling of her name in the top 16 beuaties. The beauty and brain from General Santos City furthered showcase her beauty during the Swimsuit and Evening Gown category having received the second highest number of votes from fans worldwide.
With the achievement of making it to the top 5, Shamcey had already made a statement that she will be back home to the Philippines with an impressive performance and hopefully managed to surp(–foul word(s) removed–)ed the achievement made by Miss Venus Raj last year and she did it successfully.

Question: Are you willing to change your religion just to marry the one you love?
Answer: No. I will not change my religion because the first person I love is God. He is the one who created me. And the principles and values that I have now is because of Him. So if that man loves me, he should also love my God.
