Yahoo fires CEO Carol Bartz

Carol BartzRestructuring and Reorganization are two of the best words for a business to survive and implementing these two changes involved a lot of tough deliberation and critical thinking.

And this is what had been happening right now in the technology world.

Recently, news came out that Apples Chief Executive Steve Jobs had officially resigned from his office due to health problems paving way for Tim Cook to take the position he had vacated. However, if Jobs had resigned, the latest buzz right now was that Yahoo!, one of the world’s pioneers in search engine had to take some “reorganizational” process which led to the board’s decision of firing their current Chief Executive Carol Bartz.

According to the published reports of bbc.com, Ms.Bartz had been taking the CEO position since 2009.

There were divided opinion regarding to the how Ms. Bartz had performed her duties. To some, it was said that she had made significant changes on Yahoo! way of running and competing against rivals such as Facebook and Google. Furthermore, in order to save from cost, under the leadership of Ms. Bartz, from bbcnews, it was reported that she cut of jobs.

On the contrary, from the eyes of the critics, it was mentioned that Ms. Bartz did not led Yahoo! to a definite direction.

Experts says that Yahoo! was not able to hold and go with the current trend in search engines and social networking like what Facebook was best known which is being followed by Google who is now also investing in social networking upon the launched of Google+.

Mr.Morse would be serving as acting chief executive until the board of directors of the US based internet company find replacement for the CEO position.

Mr. Morse had been serving as Yahoo’s Chief Financial Officer.
