At least five people lost their lives when the stage collapsed in Indiana State Fair.

Victims who have lost their lives in the Indiana State Fair were finally identified. According to the police authorities based in the US State of Indiana, there were four who have p(–foul word(s) removed–)ed away moments after the concert stage collapsed just as the Sugarland band were about to have their presentation.

But few hours after the tragic incident, another person added to the number of lives taken in Indiana State Fair. He was 51-year-old Nate Byrd who took his last breath at the Methodist Hospital on Sunday. Local reports say that Byrd on the stage that night for he was running the spotlight for the said concert.

Other victims were namely the 23-year-old Alina BigJohny from Fort Wayne, 29-year-old Christina Santiago of Chicago, Tammy Vandam who is 42 years old of Wanatah, Indiana and the 49-year-old Glenn Goodrich from Indianapolis.

Byrd was identified to be the fifth individual who had died several hours after the Indiana State Fair tragedy while the other four mentioned earlier were the individuals declared dead on the scene.

Such information was based on the reports taken from the Marion County Coroner’s office.

On the other hand, there were at least 40 persons numbered to have acquired injuries and some of them are still in a serious condition.

Even State Police Sgt. Dave Bursten said in a statement that an increase in the number of lives taken on that incident could be possible.

Before the show, sources say that concertgoers have been warned about the postponement of the show because of the bad weather. However, an unexpected strong wind toppled the venue’s concert stage before authorities officially gave an announcement for an immediate evacuation.

Presently, the Indiana Occupational Safety and Health Administration are still conducting further investigations in connections to the heart breaking tragedy.

The Indiana State Fair has been closed but it was said that the site will open on Monday to give a memorial service for those who have lost their lives.

Meanwhile, the Sugarland band is campaigning to all the people worldwide to join them in giving hope and strength to the victims of Indianapolis by offering their prayers.

As of now, officials still cannot give any decision for the upcoming concerts such as that of the band Maroon Five and the singer Janet Jackson who were scheduled to perform on the same venue.
