Previously, reports hardly tell if Jennifer Lopez will return back as judge for the hit show, “American Idol” after some not-so-good incidents that she lately encountered. But now, there’s a good news as “American Idol” opens its 11th season. J Lo will be coming back.
Lopez has signed a contract to continue being a one of the judges for American Idol Season 11. Along with her remains her fellow judges namely Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler.
It was the show’s executive producer named Nigel Lythgoe who announced a confirmation that J Lo will remain judging for the Season 11 contestants. Lythgoe was able to confirm it on Wednesday to the On Air With Ryan Seacrest. It took almost several weeks until the question regarding J Lo’s return to the show was officially answered.
Lythgoe said during an exclusive phone interview that he was pleased to say that the three judges will remain for the next season of American Idol. The threesome will be able to continue playing their role along with the wonderful hosts to maintain the show’s excitement.
Lopez, Jackson and Tyler will start to judge in the American Idol Season 11 few weeks from now. This is according to the statement posted by Seacrest in their official Twitter account.
Another contract signing signifies that the J Lo will then be receiving a higher service fee compared to what she got being a judge from the previous episode. During the earlier season where J Lo had her first year as a judge, she was able to receive a pay worth $12 million. But now, reports tell that a glittering $20 million pay waits for the singer as she signs another contract for the said Fox show.
