The Philippine National Football Team Azkals will be performing live for a possible comeback and proved once and for all that they deserved to be considered as one of the emerging football team in Asia. With the return of their main midfielder defender Alexander Borromeo and Stephan Schrock, the lack of defense will be given a solution with their 2nd match against Kuwait.
Home court advantage will also play an important role for the Azkals to showcase their best in front of thousands of fans eagerly watching as what they have done against the Sri Lankan National Team, although they are now facing a much tougher team. The motivation brought about by the Filipinos will bring them to greater heights.
Another factors that will play an important role to the Azkals was the climate, there is no more advantage against the Kuwaiti’s who have enjoyed huge advantage during their first game. The Kuwaiti’s were used to the hotter climate, they have lived in Kuwait and played even when the temperature will go up to 40-50 degrees centigrade. The Filipinos especially the Europeans who reinforced the team were not used to hotter climate.
The 2nd game against Kuwait will put the Azkals on a tougher situation. The Azkals will have to score 4-0 against Kuwait. The higher the goals the Kuwaitis scored on this coming game the higher the Azkals will have to score also. If the score will be tied at 4-1 in favor of Azkals they will still not qualify for the reasons of the away goal already enjoyed by Kuwait.
British Football analyst Roy Moore was quoted as saying “If the Azkals win 3-0 then it goes to extra time. If they win by three goals, 4-1, 5-2, etc., then Kuwait will go through on away goals rule. If they win by four goals, 4-0, 5-1, etc. then they qualify. It’s more difficult because we didn’t get an away goal, and were unlucky not to get it. Whereas however many Kuwait score, we’ll have to score 4 more.” said Moore.
With regards to the tickets that was anticipated by most Filipinos, Azkals officials and PFF organizers have already announced that the tickets for the 2nd leg between Azkals and Kuwait have been sold out already. The game will be shown live via ABS-CBN’s Studio 23 and will kick-off at around 7:00 P.M. (PST).
