Tonight, July 23rd of 2011 will be the second battle to the 2014 Fifa World Cup Asian Qualifying match of Philippine team against the team Al-Azrak of Kuwait. This is when again the determined team of Azkals will be tested for the biggest match of their lives.
Both team had shown eagerness and determination to take the crown right after the game but the result will remain unknown until the game is finished, even though the Azkals was tag as an underdog in this game.
The Saturday’s 7:30 pm duel (12:30 a.m. Sunday in Manila), was going to be m(–foul word(s) removed–)ive according to Fil-British defender Rob Gier. Gier was the one who prepared a scouting report on Al Azraq, and he admitted that the Azkals was a good team with many supporters. He added that the Azkals were maybe the best team they had ever played and it is going to be a hard battle for their team.
But with high confidence coach Goran Tufegdzic said that although Azkals was indeed a good team but still lack in experience and his experience squad will show the difference in the match as he speaks to Filipino reporters.
Since June23, Al Azraq was already started preparing for the match. They did some undergoing camps here and in Lebanon. They also fight in a four-nation tournament in Amman, Jordan last week where they show a remarkable performance against Middle East teams and in Iraq.
Despite of the rival team statement, Azkals is still hoping to win the game by doing their best, even without their skipper in the central defense Aly Borromeo that was being suspended by the International Football Federation for tonight’s final match.
