
Wendi Deng, the Chinese wife of Rupert Murdoch made a headlines earlier when she foiled an attacker during a British Parliamentary Hearing attended by News Corporation CEO, Rupert Murdoch his son James Murdoch and Former Chief Executive Officer of News of the World Rebekah Brooks.
During the hearing Rupert Murdoch and his son had apologized to the public for the alleged involvement in the phone hacking scandal involving executives from News of the World and the direct involvement of the Murdoch’s families with the phone hacking scandal of one it’s European affiliates the tabloid News of the World.
Rupert Murdoch said in a statement that the day he asked for apology was the humblest day of his life. He was quoted as saying “This is the most humble day of my career. To say I’m sorry is not enough.” said Murdoch one of America’s self-made billionaire.
What is most interesting about the story of Rupert Murdoch’s Parliamentary Hearing was the foiled attacked by a protester to the media mogul by her wife, Wendi Deng. The former Chinese employee of Star Tv that was acquired by News Corporation and married to Rupert Murdoch had came to the rescue when she was needed most.
Wendi Deng, became an instant celebrity in Twitter, YouTube and the news media with the courage she showed during the incident. She was just at the back side of his husband during the entire meeting when a certain protester.
The courageous wife of Rupert Murdoch came to the rescue when a man came to her 80-year old husband with a shaving-cream pie. She leaped to her feet and punched the protester, depending upon what angle of the video you are watching.
Wendi Deng, was a 42-year-old mother of two children and married Rupert Murdoch in 1999. She was fluent in Mandarin and English with role on News Corporations activities in the far east. News Corporation is a $33 Billion Empire whose US Holdings includes The Wall Street Journal, Twentieth Century Fox and publisher HarperCollins.
