The Philippine Football Team Azkals has once again proven their impact to the Filipino’s after thousands of fans had came and supported them in their second game against Bahrain.
About more than five thousand Filipinos has shown their support to the Azkals and this only proves the popularity of team all over the world.
Fans who were interviewed after the game said that despite Azkals losing the match they are still very happy seeing the members of the Philippine football team and reuniting with other “kababayan” who also watched the face off of the two teams.
One of the Filipino who was interviewed during the game is Jerry Lansangan who is an OFW in Bahrain and he said that he is happy seeing the Azkals playing in the field and this is the first time to watch a football game.
Some of the fans were from Saudi Arabia who traveled miles just to see the game of Azkals and support the Philippine pride.
One of them is Joseph Roquim who is a photographer and he made sure to bring his camera to take some pictures of the Azkals.
The Azkal members did not disappointed their fans after they had granted an autograph signing and picture taking after the game.
This match of Azkals vs. Bahrain is a friendly game of the two countries’s to develop a friendship and camaraderie between the two nations.
Azkals also took this opportunity to train harder and prepare for their upcoming game against Kuwait as part of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
The first match is scheduled on July 23 and will be held in Kuwait.
