MANILA, Philippines – The pain of losing a family member is unbearable and how much more if you are to lose your whole family?
That is how difficult and hard to explain the feelings of pain and grief that he felt after the traumatic death of his wife and two daughters 20 years ago.
Justice is still not achieved especially that the prime suspects of the murder, Hubert Webb and company were given the verdict of not guilty and after long years of being in jailed, they are now starting to enjoy the life that was taken away from them for 2 decades.
However, if Webb and company felt alright, Lauro Vizconde, the father and the husband says that he will never be tired in searching for justice for his family.
He even said in a report that he did not watch the recent press conference of the Webb family because he knows that the press con will surely talk about the re-investigation of the case and would end up defending Huebert and will dispute the recent evidence pointing out that he was not out of the country when the Vizconde m(–foul word(s) removed–)acre took place.
Lauro Vizconde knows and respect the law and the policy which prevents him from filing a case due to “double-jeopardy” but he clarifies that all he wanted in his life to seek and to achieve justice for his family.
Like any other victims, he just wanted the truth to come out.
When asked of what he can say on the statement uttered by Hubert Webb, saying that he is already tired of all the accusations, Vizconde made a definite answer that he will never be tired in his quest for truth.
And he added that, “Hindi mapapantayan ng hirap at sakit na dinanas ko ang dinadanas nila ngayon. Buo ang pamilya nila at buhay ang akusado pero ako wala ang buong pamilya ko.”
