Bishops in the Philippines are now asking the government to make the necessary action regarding the past administration’s evil deed by filing a case against former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and its allies.
According to an interview with Sorsogon Bishop Arturo Bastes, he advised Aquino’s government that instead of buzzing and whining about the corruption of the past administration, why not make an action about what they have found out illegal in the past governance of Gloria and come up with a concrete solution regarding the problem.
The throwing of allegation and accusation between the two parties started when former president and now Pampangga Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has released a statement in the media criticizing Aquino’s government which was also answered back by president Aquino blaming the past administration about the current situation of the country.
It was then followed by an online catfight of deputy spokesperson Abigail Valte who is defending Aquino and House Deputy Minority Leader Milagros Magsaysay finding its way to protect Arroyo.
The action of the two was condemned by the Bishops and said that instead of fighting and throwing accusation to each other why not focus on helping the poor Filipino people and make a solution to fight against poverty in the country.
It was recently reported that the Philippine Charity Sweepstake Office or PCSO has an existing dept of 4 Billion Pesos and this was all blamed to the illegal transactions done by the past government of Gloria particularly the sham media contract and the fake medical claims.
The same suggestion is being pushed by Caloocan Bishop Deogracias Iñiguez to Aquino’s government and added that the administration should use the information they have gathered to convict Gloria and Allies.
Bishop Bastes is asking both parties to stop this unprofessional fight saying that they are not being a good example to the people especially the kids who are witnessing this nonsense debate.
