While Manny Pacquiao’s fight against Juan Manuel Marquez is coming this November, another potential American boxer is rumored to be the next opponent of the pound-for-pound king for the year 2012.

According to Manny Pacquiao’s promoter and boss of Top Rank Bob Arum, there is a big possibility that Mike Jones will be included in the list of Pacquiao’s possible bout for the next year.

The news about Mike Jones to fight Manny Pacquiao started to spread when Bob Arum posted it in his account in the social networking site twitter.

Mike Jones who has a professional record of 24 wins with no loss and 18 of his fights won via knockout is considered as the top ranked welterweight in the world next to the boxing champ Manny.

Bob Arum said that if the fight of the two top boxers in the welterweight division will happen in the future, this will surely be a great fight and something that the boxing enthusiast should watch out.

In an interview with Mike Jones, the American boxer said that he has the strength and the confident that can stand against Manny Pacquiao and even beat the pound-for-pound king.

He also admitted that if he will be given the chance to face the Filipino boxing legend in the ring, for sure this will be his biggest break in his boxing career knowing that it will give him more exposure to the media and with multi-million purse at stake.

Jones added that it has been his dream to fight against Manny Pacquiao and for sure his family will be so happy for him.

On the other hand, the boxing Champ is still hoping that his fight against Floyd Mayweather will still happen soon.
