Self-proclaimed ‘child of adversity’ Lady Gaga attended the Rome gay rally held Saturday night wherein she performed some of her hits including ‘Born This Way’ and took the said opportunity to express support to the event.
The event was part of the yearly Europride day wherein its prime goal was to widen the perspective of the people and to campaign more for gay rights.
Lady Gaga was known for being a supporter to gay movements and she said that she was happy to be invited to the said rally. Quoted, she expressed : “I am so honored to be here.”
To be exact, the location of the rally was at the ancient Circus Maximus in Rome. The organizers of the event had chosen the said location because of the big fact that Rome is the home of Vatican, and Vatican was noted to be a non-supporter of same sex marriage and of the adoption process for gay parents.
Further, the organizers hope that by holding such event with a parade of colourful floral supported by the gay community they will be able to catch attention from the people and concerned groups worldwide.
According to Lady Gaga, homosexually should not be discriminated because if it happens, it leads to emotional problem of the concern and would end-up to suicide.
Lady Gaga might be very controversial and popular but she is fearless to take stand to her beliefs.
To recall, Lady Gaga was at the top of the news recently due to her controversial ‘taking off clothes’ during her after party at New York Boom Boom Room. The incident took place after she had received an award for her outrageous fashion sense.
On her appearance at the gay pride rally, she was wearing her popular green wig and she played piano while singing.
