Fighthype.com claimed that they have been informed about the $75 million offer to Floyd Mayweather, Jr. to fight Manny Pacquiao. The said offer is not only for Mayweather alone but also to Pacquiao.
There was an offer also from Singapore to give $65 million purse to Mayweather if he accepts to fight Pacquiao. Before that there was also a $50 million offer which was declined by Mayweather because he wants $100 million.
Pacquiao also received such offer from Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim to fight Saul Alvarez.
Michael Koncz, adviser of Pacquiao, said that even with $65 million offer, Mayweather will still receive around $30 – $40 million after tax. Furthermore, Koncz said that Mayweather just don’t want to fight Pacquiao.
With that big amount of money involve, Mayweather is still reluctant on $65 million offer because he is demanding more than that. Mayweather once told that everything is possible. He really wants to get $100 million to fight Pacquiao.
Mayweather is not only an intelligent fighter but as will as smart businessman who would love to get what he wants before accepting an offer. He once said that “He is his own boss”.
The current offer was $25 million short compare to his demand. Will Mayweather accept this or not? We hope that he would. But if he is afraid to fight Pacquiao, he would probably turn down this offer again.
