Marcelito Pomoy, the man with a woman’s voice had made it to the semi-finals of the Season 2 of Pilipinas Got Talent. During his semi-finals performance on Saturday night, June 4, 2011 he performed with one of Regine’s hit single titled “On The Wings of Love.”
Marcelito, the 25-year old guy from Cavite was inspired by his determination to escape from poverty. During his early childhood he had work as a poultry boy. He came from a broken family, left by his mother when his father was jailed. Later on he had seen his mother who asked forgiveness for what she had done, leaving Marcelito alone.
Marcelito had already forgiven the mistakes made by her mother and the mother that once left him was now his inspiration for making it to the semi-finals of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 and hopefully a chance of luck for the Finals and the ultimate championship of PGT Season 2.
Previous performances of Marcelito Pomoy had a huge following in video-sharing site YouTube, just like the previous winner Jovit Baldivino who made a marked by garnering millions of hits in the most popular video-sharing site. His performance had been linked also to social media sites twitter and Facebook.
Marcelito had once again proved to the audience last Saturday night performance his singing prowess giving his rendition of Asia’s Songbird Regine the song “On the wings of love”, which stunned the audience and the judges were so amazed with his performance.
Even the controversial actress Kris Aquino was in loved with the way Marcelito made his rendition. With few of the remaining semi-finalist, Marcelito had a good chance of making it to the finals although this year’s episode of PGT had the most equally impressive performer.
