The motive was still unclear but the first shooting incident taking place in the premises of San Jose State University had been the cause of death of Marcory “Cindy” Caliguiran, a graduating accounting student.
The shooting incident had took place in the parking area, Tuesday night, wherein Napoleon Avarias Caliguiran had fired gun against Cindy together with his companion Thomas Kyle Williams who was also like her, an accounting student who was about to graduate also.
In the investigation conducted, the authority had find it out that Cindy, was the wife of the gunman Napoleon,54 and it’s still a question to the investigator to what was the involvement of Williams to the couple why he was included in the shooting incident. Napoleon and Cindy were both Filipinos.
After the shooting incident, however, Napoleon committed suicide. He had shot himself in a few distance. Background checks had shown that Napoleon got no criminal record so the authority is in constant investigation of the real motive of the said killing.
The shooting incident had alarmed the whole University but the authority as well as the school administration had tightened their security to prevent such incidents to happen again. Furthermore, the authorities had said that what happened involves personal conflicts and it’s not something that threatened the whole university.
