The Couple: Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon

After showing her painted baby bumps several weeks ago, the famous singer Mariah Carey was able to give birth to her expected twin baby boy and baby girl in the hospital at Los Angeles.

The 42-year-old pop singer delivered her twins on April 30 which is the day of her third wedding anniversary with her husband, Nick Cannon.

Carey had previously marked a clue on what will be the name of her twins saying that they will carry names that begin with “M”. Unveiling the mystery, Mariah announced on her official website that their baby boy’s name will be Moroccan Scott Cannon while the name of their baby girl will be Monroe Cannon.

There are inspirations behind the name of the twins. But of course, baby girl Monroe got her name from her mother’s inspiration who is the famous celebrity, Marilyn Monroe. Meanwhile, Morrocan came from the top-tier of Carey’s apartment in New York City featuring a Moroccan-inspired decor. It was the setting where Carey received a marriage proposal from her hubby, Nick Cannon.

Carried by their baby boy, the name Scott was taken from the middle name of Nick and his grandmother. However, the parents’ daughter was not able to receive the middle name Scott because of the reason that Mariah does not have any middle herself.

The 30-year-old Nick tweeted on what seems to be the nickname of their twins saying, “Roc and Roe! Let’s go!” Both were their first children.

In Los Angeles hospital, the couple welcomed their twins with a renewal of their wedding vows through Rev. Al Sharpton. Carey and Cannon plans to live within the west and east coasts of America. They wanted their children to be raised in the luxury in the cities of Los Angeles and New York.

When asked about their plans of having another baby, Carey said that she’s already “done”.
