Spreading Osama bin Laden’s Death Photos are Fake

While the death of Osama bin Laden becomes a trending media topic worldwide, people must be warned that a viral photo of what was reported to be a dead bin Laden is declared fake.

A graphic image showing a bloody face of Osama bin Laden has been circulating all over the internet while the same bloody photo were also been pasted on various broadsheets published across many countries.

Those were fake death photos. The photograph showing a person’s mouth opened halfway along with a half-closed eye with beard that was already graying is seemingly parallel to bin Laden’s face released few years ago. Wounds appear unusual on the face that on a closer look, a sudden shift on the skin coloration can be identified.

US authorities have not yet release any of the death images of Osama bin Laden. As of now, officials still decide whether to publish bin Laden’s actual photo the moment he died. If the real death image of bin Laden will be released, then some doubters will be convinced that the terrorist leader is already dead. However, it could also convey more negative issues to the United States.

Early conclusions have been made by several news sites as they had been able to publish the hoax death photo merely edited to prove that Osama bin Laden died. But since those photos were confirmed to be untrue, media websites instantly removed such image on their pages.

Based on the newspaper, The Guardian, the false image primarily appeared in the internet more than two years have p(–foul word(s) removed–)ed. It was said that the photo was a combination of a bloodied corpse together with Osama bin Laden’s real image.

The photograph was believed to be edited as it began to spread in the countries of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq and Senegal few hours after the most wanted terrorist was declared dead.

There had been several malware developers who used those fake death photos in order to expand malware attacks. Links of fake death photos circulate in the social media such as Twitter and any other websites. People must be careful in clicking links in connection to Osama bin Laden’s death. Since those pictures might just be one of the malware scams.
