Superman was known to have been embraced by an American family. Now, he decides that he is better-off saving the world.

Action Comics #900 discusses about the plans of the famous hero to give up his US citizenship. Talking about Superman’s plan, commentators from different parts of the world raise many criticisms concerning such issue.

In this newest comic issue, Superman does not visibly renounce his nationality since the said superhero has originated from the planet Krypton that is recognized to be a fictional setting.

Standing as co-publishers for Action Comics are the famous Jim Lee and Dan DiDio. According to them, Superman proclaims his goal of putting “a global focus” on his unending battle. However the comic character will remain loyal to his adopted home as well as for ‘his roots as a Kansas farm boy from Smallville.”

For some, the story seemingly gives doubt to anyone who sees Superman silently stands amidst the demonstrations portraying that the hero wanted to tell protesters that they are not alone.

In David Goyer’s story that contains nine pages, Superman declared his statement following the charges of the government of Iran accusing that he has caused an international incident.

Some of the famous lines that Superman mentioned in Action Comics #900 are “Truth, justice and the American way’ – it’s not enough anymore,” and “The world is too small, too connected.”

It is not a first ever incident that a certain comic character tried to distance himself from the policies of the United States.

There came a point that in the popular Marvel Comics published in 1970s, Captain America changed his character as a Nomad during the time when the issue concerning the Watergate scandal came to rise.
