While the world had been busy witnessing the royal wedding of the century of Prince William and Kate Middleton on Friday, President Benigno Aquino III still chose to proceed on his meeting schedules with his officials while the significant event in London took part in Westminster Abbey.

Following the meeting President Aquino’s meeting, he then met with a different group of officers which made Lacierda say on a phone interview that he didn’t think that the President was able to witness the royal wedding yesterday.

On the other hand, the deputy presidential spokesperson named Abigail Valte stated in one of the local radio station that even when the President had set his meeting schedules late Friday, the television within his room had always been turned on in order for the broadcast.

Billions of people from across the world made it a point to see such British historic event where the royal couple shared their vows following their first ever public kiss that happened on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

Like any other people, the Philippine President also wished the royal couple to be well as he was hoping that the media will be able to give both of them some privacy that they deserve.

Spokesman Lacierda said in a statement that the Chief Executive “sympathizes” with Prince William and Kate Middleton realizing that the royal couple will seemingly have a “fishbowl existence” following the events after their wedding.

President Aquino, 51, is known to many as a bachelor. As the Philippine media continues to gather news about his private life, President Aquino and his spokesman have similar requests to keep off from it especially those that concern about his love life.
