Ramy Jacildo of Bacolod City killed by Italian-American boyfriend

Graduated from St. Scholastica’s Academy, and a special education teacher who taught autistic children from Bacolod City, killed by her Italian-American boyfriend and after killing her, he also took his own life in New York.

On March 25, 22 year old Ramy Jacildo, of 88 B.S. Aquino Drive, Bacolod City, gone to United States to visit her parents, Eduardo and Zenaida Jacildo on a tourist visa.

Reported on the Times Herald-Record daily newspaper in Middletown, that at 1 a.m. police officers responded a call. The incident happened at Woodward Terrace home in Central Valley, New York.

A .40 caliber handgun was believed by the police that had been used by her 26 year old boyfriend Vincent Russo of Virginia, and after killing Jacildo he took his own life.

Russo had a gunshot wound on his head and found by the police lying in the driveway in the home of Jacildo family. Ramy had three gunshot wound and died on the spot.

On a report by the Times Herald-Record, Jacildo and Russo had been in a long distance relationship. They meet each other about a year while Jacildo was on a vacation in Washington D.C.

Russo came to meet Ramy Jacildo and her family in Central Valley who lived at the Woodward Terrace Home.

Her aunt from Bacolod City told that Ramy’s Italian-American boyfriend wanted to marry her, but her niece did not want. According to her niece she discovered that Russo was too possessive and had a temper.

Her boyfriend told her that they could get married and if it did not work out they could divorse easily, but being a Filipina, Ramy did not believe on his opinion.

Ramy was a ballet dancer and worked with special children. She had a sponsor for a job and gone to United States.

She finished her high school studies in year 2005 at SSA in Bacolod City and her degree in special education at SSA Manila in 2010. She had work at a call center. She taught at Second Home, school for autistic children, and takes a masters degree at the University of Negros Occidental Recoletos.

Ordas, their househelper and the babysitter of Ramy since she was a child described her as a loving and religious and full of life. She was also good to all the household help.
