Nintendo will launch a new version of Wii console in the year 2012.
Details of the machine have not yet revealed, but gamers can preview at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles this coming June.

Five years ago, after launching the first Wii was really a great hit for Nintendo. PlayStaion, Xbox 360 and other mobile gaming platforms were tough competitors that resulted to gradual declining of sales.
Wii offers moyion controlled game play and the first console of the present generation.
Sony launched PlaySation Move, while Microsoft has presented its Kinect system for Xbox, in the previous years.
Satoru Iwata, Nintendo’s chief executive, said that the company was preparing for a new improvement and innovation. According to Iwata, Wii will offer a new way of playing games within the home.

Some observers had said that the Wii 2 would just be an update of the existing machine, with added handful features such as high definition graphics.

Wii was leading in the battle against other competing consoles in the year 2006.

The machine has a low price and attractive to non-traditional gamers such as women and older players. The good feedback that the Wii has receiving was really a great gain to the company and it even sold 20 million units in its first year.

The company shipped 20.1 million Wii consoles in year 2009-2010, but if fell to 15.1 million in 2010-2011. It declined its profit by 66 percent.
According to Market data the Wii shares of new console sales have now declined to second place, the first is the Sony’s PS3.
During the first three months of the year 2011, 36 percent (36%) of share was held by PS3, while Wii got 32 percent (32%) and 31 percent (31%) for XBox 360
