Actors would love to repay the efforts their fans through some worthwhile acts. Because of that goal, Cesar Montano Cup Basketball Tournament was held in Sta. Ana, Manila through the combined efforts of Sunshine Cruz along with Bayani Agbayani.
Cruz, being the wife of Cesar Montano led the said basketball league which was presently launched at Plaza Hugo.
This activity is not just a matter of appreciating the Sta. Ana people for it has another significant role to play. The basketball tournament will generate funds that will be used for financing the education of unfortunate young people of Sta. Ana.
In an interview from the news segment, “24 Oras” last April 25, Montano emphasized that there are lots of children who are not currently studying in Sta. Ana due to some financial reasons and could be because they lack some personal motivations as well. In this cause, Montano wanted to pay attention to their education needs by sending those youth in a learning institution in the nearby elementary schools.
According to the actor, this has been the best time that he will be able to bring back what he had gotten for Sta. Ana’s Plaza Hugo when speaking about his acquisition of learning.
Before the event was pushed through, the fellow artists of Cesar Montano along with some basketball stars went for an exhibition game against the players selected to represent the Sta. Ana basketball team.
Montano’s team included celebrities such as Jimmy Santos and Bayani Agbayani. Some basketball stars who likewise joined the said sports event were namely Kenneth Duremdes, Johnny Abarrientos, Ato Agustin, Nelson Asaytono, Bong Alvarez and Noli Locsin. The game ended as victory was handed to the team of Montano.

Those who would like to support were Rayver Cruz, Cristine Reyes and Sarah Geronimo who were rumoured to be a showbiz love triangle.
In an interview flashed in Showbiz News Ngayon on April 25, the statement uttered seemingly shows that both parties are happy of their present situation although they had faced several issues for the past few months regarding their showbiz relationships. They are now trying to patch things up.
