St. Louis airport was swept by a tornado causing severe area damages while injuring several p(–foul word(s) removed–)engers late Friday.

According to the media, a severe storm tends to cause a great impact making debris seemingly pour like rain over Lambert-St. Louis International Airport situated Saint Louis, Missouri.

Mayor Francis Slay of St. Louis told the correspondents that the said airport was declared closed indefinitely as authorities conduct investigations to the resulted damages.

No further updates had been published as of now with regards to the exact number of injured individuals. But according to Mayor Slay, there were four injured who have been brought to the nearby hospitals.

While the extent of the injuries is still unknown, many believe that the harms were due to flying gl(–foul word(s) removed–) of shattered windows. The St. Louis tornado on Friday night was reportedly strong that even metals twisted. The station reported that some parts of the roof within the airport’s C concourse were ripped off.

The spokesman of the airport, Jeff Lea, says that Concourse C is used by airports such as the American Airlines, Cape Air and AirTran.

Earlier this month, powerful tornadoes hit several parts of United States specifically to its central and southern area that caused death to 44 people.
