Obamas to Appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show

It’s going to be one of the final episodes of the 25-year-old USA’s highest-rated talk show and U.S. President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama are appearing on it. Yes, the Obamas are confirmed to appear as guests on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’. Harpo Productions and a White House official announced the news on Tuesday that the Obamas will make their appearance in Chicago on April 27 to tape a show with Oprah Winfrey.

It would be Mr. & Mrs. Obamas third time presence on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ together, But as a President Mr. Obama will record his first appearance, while Mrs. Obama was recently appeared on the show this year on January 27. Obama will stay in Chicago for two days to headline three fund -raisers to promote his 2012 bid.

Winfrey declared in November 2009 during her live show that she will end her talk-show after 25 years. The show in which the Obamas will make their appearance will be one of the final episodes and it is set to air on Television on May 2, while the final episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show will telecast on May 25.

According to a report, for the final episode of ‘Oprah’, the asking price for a thirty-second ad is reached to $1 million which defeats the asking prices of finales of ABC’s drama series ‘Lost’ and Fox Network’s ‘24’. However, According to Horizon Media researcher Brad Adgate, NBC’s sitcom ‘Friends’ is holding the most expensive ad record which cost about $2 million for a 30-second ad during its finale.
