Officials of the broadcasting network TV5 said that they will not remove controversial game show host Willie Revillame who was unfairly judged by the public as child abuser according to the network.

In the statement released by the network, they said that they are confident that advertisers would return to support again the program Willing Willie and that Willie Revillame would stay on the network.

According to TV5’s president Ray C. Espinosa, the significant portion of their revenues are coming from this game show which is a collaboration between the network and Willie’s production company WilProductions.

The network admitted that Willing Willie show is their flagship program in the station and they are now in the process of discussion between the advertisers that according to them pulled out due to the pressure coming from the social networking sites.

They are certain that their will be changes in the show to improve its quality content including the look and feel of the hit game show. Espinosa also stressed out that the show is one of the profitable programs in the network and thus it is a great help on the still growing station.

The groups that called a boycott action of advertisers to Willie Revillame started 10 minutes after the video of a 6 years old boy Jan-jan Suan dancing in lewd manner while crying has spread through out the web and earned a lot of criticizing comments from the public.

Espinosa defended that Suan did not cried because he was forced to dance but because he was scared of the former basketball player Bonel Balangit which is a talent in the show.

MTRCB is now in the process of studying the episode to know if Jan-jan’s dance was obscene or his rights were violated in the show.

He also added that it seems that this issue has generated a lot of attention than the recent issues in military wherein there are already four agencies of the government who are looking into the controversy.

Espinosa cleared out that this incident is not enough reason to remove Willie Revillame from the Network.
