Monday Morning a fire started in a depressed area in Quezon City where hundreds of houses were turned into ashes and leaving 90 families homeless and three people hurt in the said incident.

In radio report, the three victims were identified as residents in the area and they are Marissa Almada, 31, her seven-year-old son, and Carlito Parillo, 42, who sustained a laceration on his left foot.

In the latest report, Armeda and her seven years old son said to jumped out from the second floor of their house to save their lives.  Luckily the two suffered only minor injuries and they are now in the hospital being treated by some minor burns in their bodies.

Most of the houses were made in light materials which became the factor to make the fire spread easily throughout the place. According to the fire officials there are already 30 houses destroyed by the fire which razed a community near the Central Bank of the Philippine Office along BIR road.

In a statement released by Senior Superintendent Bobby Baruelo, city fire marshall, he said that the fire men from task force Bravo had a difficulty in putting out the fire because most of the houses were made of light materials.

He added that as of now they are still studying the probable cause of the fire.

The fire started in the ground floor of a two story house owned by a resident named Analisa de la Cruz and started around 10:37 in the morning.

The incident was soon reached to the Task Force Bravo to compel firefighters from nearby districts to respond to the scene.

Around 11:15 in the morning, Baruelo already declared the fire was under control and fire fighters turned it out around 11:30 a.m.

Starting from January to March, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFA) had already recorded 680 fires around Metro Manila.
