Technology nowadays is fast growing and improving. Every new invention also makes a way for a better and newer innovation. Technologies haven’t reached this far without these individuals and organizations that developed them. That is why the International ICT Awards was being organized to recognize those who made significant contributions to these technologies especially in the field of Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO).

The awarding ceremony was held at the Grand Ballroom of Dusit Thani Hotel Manila. The event was hosted by CanCham (Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines) and BPAP (Business Process (–foul word(s) removed–)ociation of the Philippines).

“We are proud to organize the ICT Awards with BPAP. The BPO Industry in the Philippines has been growing at an amazing rate over the past 5 years and that can be attributed mostly to the Filipinos’ p(–foul word(s) removed–)ion for excellence and the quality of service they deliver. Let’s celebrate that!” quoted by Sean Georget, Executive Director of the Canadian Chamber.

SPi Global Solutions was awarded as BPO Company of the Year. The company is owned by a Filipino and considered as the country’s largest locally leading outsourcing vendor. SPi Global Solutions President, Mr. Maulik Parekh, represents the company upon receiving the above mentioned award.

Other award award was Best New BPO Locator given to the Cognizant. Thomson Reuters received the Shared Services Excellence Award and Most Innovative Company of the Year was awarded to the FirstCarbon.
