Filipinos gather for vigil to bring hope for the three OFW convicts to be executed tomorrow.

Filipinos unite for a vigil holding the hope that miracles will happen believing that prayers will save the three Filipino drug mules to face death sentence tomorrow.

 

Greater faith lives in the hearts of the family members of Ramon Credo, Sally Villanueva, and Elizabeth Batain who have been OFWs to face death through lethal injection because of drug trafficking case.

Vice President Jejomar Binay , in behalf of the Philippine government, went to China to plead for mercy. The government did their best to soften the hearts of the Chinese authorities however, the request was rejected and they had no choice but to accept their decision.

It was last week when the Chinese government made an announcement regarding the date of the execution of the three convicted OFWs. The execution had been set on Wednesday dated March 30.

According to Garry Martinez, chairman of a support group for OFW Migrante International, there is a small chance but they will not lose their hopes.

Faith still prevails as they keep on praying for a miracle to come.

Chairman Martinez said that a Filipina maid who was executed in Kuwait in the year 2007 was given pardon a night before her execution.

Martinez added that family members of the convicts must be in their homes Tuesday starting 6pm to have an overnight prayer vigil as a support to their relatives.

Philippine authorities believe that Filipinos who were doomed to jail in China belong in poor families and were deceived by some international crime syndicates leading them to become drug carriers.

Meanwhile, more than nine million Filipino laborers and maids are believed to still sustain some harsh employers abroad.
