iPad2 has touched the cravings of tech costumers after Apple had launched it to the market. However, customers may have to increase their patience of waiting.
This is because the disaster that had happened in Japan may lead to a shortage in supply and may even delay transactions to produce the latest Apple product.
Japan is known to be a center for electronic industry and it is one of the major countries to deliver at least 5 parts of the iPad2.
The supplies of some iPad parts such as the battery, electronic comp(–foul word(s) removed–) and most probably the touch screen gl(–foul word(s) removed–) are known to be coming from the suppliers in Japan.
But due to the unexpected calamity brought by the quake and tsunami just a week ago, a delay in the component’s shipment can be expected. Such view was according to ISH iSuppli, a research firm.
On a press release conducted Thursday, the research firm stated, “While some of these suppliers reported that their facilities were undamaged, delivery of components from all of these companies is likely to be impacted at least to some degree by logistical issues now plaguing most Japanese industries in the quake zone.”
In this sense, facilities taken from Japan may have a delay in shipment.
ISH iSuppli even added that the workers are still having troubles to get back to work after the natural disasters that came.
A hard way to receive and distribute the raw materials will be expected and there is a great possibility on the postponement of shipping the products.
As the demand of the newly-launched second generation of iPad continues to increase, the media reaches out for the Apple’s answer on the said supply shortages and delay. However, Apple did not respond Thursday when they were asked regarding that.
It is supposed that iPad2 will be launched in Japan this March 25, but an earlier announcement says regarding its interruption.
