Zynga the network gaming company that was founded on July 2007 by Mark Pincus have added another team from video and mobile game developer Floodgate Entertainment and added itto their already growing number of acquisition for the past months.
Floodgate Entertainment have developed MoPets, Madden 2005-2006, and Pirates of the Caribbean to name a few. Floodgate was a company founded by Paul Neurath in 2000. It spawned from Blue Sky Promotions then Looking Gl(–foul word(s) removed–)s Studios.
Meanwhile, Zynga have dominated the social gaming network. They developed the popular game CityVille and FarmVille. With a total of 91 million active users it dominates Facebook.
Zynga’s value was estimated at $7 to $9 billion with 850 millions (400,000.00) in revenue.
The latest acquisitions by Zynga have already added to the growing number of partners. Their latest acquisitions includes social browser Flock, Bonfire Studios from Texas, Unoh Games in Tokyo, Challenge Games from Austin, Dextrose Ag, Area/Code, New Toy, Conduit Labs and XPD from Beijing.
