Bahrain Government assured that Filipino Citizens are safe

In spite of heightened tension happening in Bahrain, Prime Minister Prince Khalif bin Salman Al Khalif assured the government of the Philippines and the four other nations who has the greatest number of people working in the Arab Country that they are safe and being protected by the government.

Last Thursday a meeting was called by the government of Bahrain joined by representatives of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Thailand. Philippine Ambassador Corazon Yap-Bahjin was also present in the said meeting. They have discussed the safety and welfare of their people in the country.

According to Bahjin the prime minister of Bahrain is assuring the Philippine government that nothing will happen to their people. He also said that Baharani government respect the rights of the foreigners and will protect them from anyone who will inflict harm.

Prime Minister of Bahrain also Acknowledge the contribution that the foreign people has done to their country and that they owe something to them.

As of now, record shows that since the start if civil unrest in the country there are no Filipinos who have been injured or died in the commotion.

Ambassador also announced to the Filipinos in Bahrain that their Office is Open 24/7 to cater any concerns and problem regarding the civil unrest happening in the country. He also added that to have a better communication with the Filipino Community in Bahrain, Staffs and Officers in the embassy have disseminated their mobile numbers for immediate information and coordination.

Last time, Seven Filipinos who were reported to be trapped in Awali Hotel was tried to be saved but it turn out to be that the Hotel is empty.

Curfew is now imposed by the government of Bahrain in areas where protest is taking place.

Restrictions of movements are now being forced after Bahrain Government has raised Alert level 2 in the country.

Philippine Embassy has advised Filipinos to avoid areas where protests are happening, start preparing their things and important travel documents in case of emergency.
