To clarify the previous speculations over Phil Collins’ career, he had finally made an announcement about his retirement through his personal website.
Collins is a famous British singer and at the same time drummer who won multiple awards in Grammy. He would have to give further explanations with regards to his own reasons in connection to the spreading articles which says about his plan to give up his music business.
Collins who is now 60 years old posted a message Monday saying the words “Many of the articles printed over the last few months have ended up painting a picture of me that is more than a little distorted”.
Some speculations came out that the reason of his plan to quit is due to health problems as written in the FHM article.
However, that was known to be an opposite cause for his retirement plan. With that, it is said to be a contradicting idea behind his real reason.
He stated that the main explanation why he wanted to stop his music career is because he only wanted to spend most of his time being a father of his young sons.
The spreading reviews over the press are not true even that that everyone is saying that he doesn’t feel he was being loved.
From Collins’ post at a website, he wondered why there were printed articles saying about his career at present. Some would even consider him to be a “tormented weirdo”. But in this sense, he (–foul word(s) removed–)ures his avid fans that there is “no need for a straitjacket”.
Selling an estimated number of 100 million albums, the London-born solo artist answered the FHM magazine that looking at events such as MTV Music Awards, he was saying that he can’t be in the same business like that.
In addition, he has been telling the said magazine he doesn’t think anyone is going to miss him.
Phil Collins is known for his hits such as the famous “Against All Odds”, “The Groovy Kind of Love”,” In the Air Tonight” and ”Another Day in Paradise”.
Moreover, his soundtrack for the film entitled Tarzan had also won an Academy Award.
