$1 Million Spider-Man Comic Book Sold!

Spiderman comic book was sold in the amount of $1 Million.

One of the most valuable collector’s items that a comic collector would like to own is the copy of “Amazing Fantasy” No. 15 featuring the famous superhero Spider-Man.

It is the wall crawler’s debut published in the year 1962. The said issue had already been bought by a private buyer Monday with $1.1 Million as payment according to Stephen Fishler, Chief Executive of ComicConnect.com.

The said comic book was carefully preserved on a near-mint condition.

Through ComicConnect.com, the said Marvel comic book was sold to a private buyer.

Showing the Humble Peter Parker on its spidery avenger superhero costume, he swings himself at a high building while on his right arm was a man.

The comic was just priced as 12 cents way back five decades ago. But now, you just have to believe that its worth have reached to an amount of $1.1 Million.

However, the “Amazing Fantasy” No. 15 is not the highest priced comic book issue that has been sold. There is this “Action Comics” No. 1 with its famous DC superhero, Superman, on the cover. Where, it was priced at $1.5 Million.

“Action Comics” No.1 had been sold at $1.5 million for Superman’s debut comic issue on the previous year. It was sold in March 2010, where it has an original price of 10 cents.

Comics published on 1930s to 1950s are considered to belong at a golden age and it is rare to find them nowadays while, the comics from the mid 1950s to 1970 are cl(–foul word(s) removed–)ified to be in the Silver Age.

Axel Alonso, editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics say, “Spider-Man is one of the Marvel’s flagship characters so, yeah, I’d say “Amazing Fantasy is very important.”

Because of Spider-Man’s debut, the comic book “Amazing Fantasy” No. 15 had long been made to be priced by many collectors.

Moreover, it has been already reprinted into a hardcover.

Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko have drawn the cover showing Spider-Man whom in one arm clutches a bad character as he swings from his web with the other.

Originally, the issue was only priced as 12 cents. On the other hand, Stan Lee, the writer and Ditko, the co creator of web slinger and his alter ego, the intelligent Peter Parker who was bitten by a radioactive spider.
