Actress of the Oscar winning 2008 film “Slumdog Millionaire” Rubina Ali lost their house in a fire leaving her family homeless.
This incident happened late on Friday near railway tracks where Ali continued to live and hundreds of tenements were swept away by the fire.
Rubina Ali gained her international fame when she was chosen to play one of the characters in Danny Boyle’s 2008 film Slumdog Millionaire which took several major awards in the Oscars. Ali’s journey started when she was just 8 years old and played the role of young Latika in Boyle’s winning film.
When she was interviewed, Ali said that she lost most of her belongings including the precious photographs taken during her trip to Los Angeles for the Oscar ceremony.

Despite the raging fire and thick smoke covering the slum, Ali and her family tried their best to save their possession.
