Earthquake measured 4.7 magnitude hits Manila and other parts of Luzon, Tuesday morning February 2001. The areas felt the shake of intensity 4 magnitudes includes Cavite and Dasmariñas and intensity 3 in Pasig City, Quezon City and Pasay City. Intensity 2 in Lubang and Looc Towns in Mindoro Occidental and intensity 1 in San Fernando, Pampanga.

According to Phivolcs report, the movement of tectonic plates was the cause of earthquake of 4.7 magnitudes that originated at 26-kilometers of the northwest areas of Batangas and Nasugbo.

There were no injuries reported and no destruction (–foul word(s) removed–)ociated in the said incident. And there is nothing to worry about aftershocks, (–foul word(s) removed–)ured the Phivolcs.

People were going outside from their houses and offices while others remain when the shake of 4.7 magnitudes was felt.
