Besides holding bench warrant for the complex carnapping with homicide, Roger Dominguez the alleged leader of the Dominguez carnapping group is facing other charges of usurpation of authority and violation of traffic due to the counter flow.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) caught Dominguez early afternoon including a man identified as Jason Miranda.
The two are riding grey-colored SUV Mitsubishi Outlander with the plate number ATF 944 when they were intercepted by the police in South Avenue, Quezon City.
According to investigation they went against traffic counter flow while driving thus confronted Miranda and Dominguez by the operatives.
Roger Dominguez introduces himself as police officer, but his alibi did not avail. Beyond expectation to Dominguez one of the arresting policemen recognized him as a member of the carnapping syndicate so they invited them to Camp Karingal for further investigation.
There he was verified that he is Roger Dominguez who is involved in carnapping cases of the NCR and Region 3.
Afterwards, the follow-up operations conducted by QCPD in a motel in Mandaluyong which recovered to the rented room of Dominguez a 9mm pistol and laptop.
According to Police Director Nicanor Bartolome, they have three more warrant of arrests ready to serve served against Roger Dominguez for carnapping case in Pampanga.
After a medical check-up, he will be transferred to Camp Crame and turn over to the task force who investigated the case of Venson, Evangelista and Emerson Lozano.
Nicanor Bartolome Director NCRPO said “Aside from this bench warrant of arrest, we have several warrants which will be served to Roger Dominguez.”
“The investigation regarding the case of Evangelista and Lozano, point to them as the perpetrators, “said Chief Superintendent Benito Estipona, head of the special investigation task force.
Dominguez is now in the police detention waiting to be turned over to Camp Crame while QCPD in NCRPO will be conducting follow-up operation to recover other stolen vehicles.
