United States to cut aid if Pakistan won’t release Davis

Lawmakers of United States threatened Pakistan on Tuesday that they will cut off aid to Pakistan if they will not release Davis (America-born) who is caught by Pakistan.

US has already alerted that drastic measurements may be taken unless if Pakistan wishes to free Raymond Davis (diplomatic employee from United States), who explained the murder case with the excuse that he murdered the two men acting it as a self-defense maneuver (the murder took place in January 2011 at Lahore, Pakistan)

When John Kline (representative and republican from US) return to United States from a visit to Prime Minister of Pakistan (Yousuf Raza Gilani), he said to the reporters that it is very important that Pakistan release Davis, otherwise drastic measurements may be taken against Pakistan.

He further added that it is absolutely possible for United State that a member from the congress to come down and attempt to do amendment in order to cut down on funding for the Pakistan if they will not release Davis. He believes that if Pakistan will not release Davis that there will be plenty of support for the amendment of cutting off aid to Pakistan because of the fact that it is devastating issue for United State if Pakistan will detain Davis who has such Diplomatic profile.

The same question was asked to another representative from United States (Buck McKeon) about the cutting of aids to Pakistan, to which he replied that it certainly could happen.

Looking back at the history of Davis, he was arrested at 27th of January 2011 after he found murdering two Pakistanis, refuting that he was afraid of those two men they maybe were robbers trying to rob him. Police further add to story that there was a 3rd Pakistani involved in this case who actually wanted to (–foul word(s) removed–)ist Davis, but was hit by a United State consulate vehicle and killed.

After this incident a lot of protests are happening in Pakistan, including suicide of one of the wife of the 2 men murdered. She was reported to have committed the suicide by taking poison pills this last Sunday.

Several people are even doubting Davis for being just a mere ordinary diplomat, as he is reported by police to be equipped with loads of weapons and a GPS system.

Director of the SAC Shuja Nawaz said that this murder case has revealed a dark side of uneasy relationship between United States and Pakistan.
