For the past few weeks Egyptian unrest were getting more and more violent. Protesters from Egypt have gone to the streets for m(–foul word(s) removed–)ive demonstrations more particulary in the city of Cairo, Suez and the historic city of Alexandria. The Egyptian freedom fighters are demanding for the resignation of the resignation of the current President Hosni Mubarak.
Different prominent personalities from around the world are closely monitoring the unfolding violent demonstration in Egypt. Some of these people are well-known personalities especially in the field of world politics. Growing unrest in Egypt could affect the stability of the peace process in the middle east and the world economy could be affected if the protesters and the government authorities will use force to stop the already growing violent demonstration.
In view of these recent developments in Egypt, international communities are now calling the attentions of the protesters as well as the government agencies involved to settle the problem in a peaceful manner.
Different media sources from around the world are reporting for the growing international support for Egyptian freedom.
U. S. Secretary of States Hillary Clinton was quoted as saying “We are deeply concerned about the use of violence by Egyptian police and security forces against protestors and we call on the Egyptian government to do everything in its power to restrain the security forces,” she told reporters at the State Department.
U.S. Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was quoted as saying “the government must respect the rights of its people” he further said that he is very concerned about the violence in Egypt.
British Foreign Secretary William Hague said “I think it is important to recognise that the people involved have legitimate grievances – economic grievances and political grievances – and it is very important for the authorities to respond positively to that, and to be able to hold out the hope and prospect of reform in the future”, the secretary was quoted in a report by BBC.
Growing international support for Egyptian freedom have helped a lot to those prominent Egyptian personalities. Nobel Laureate Mohamed ElBaradei the leading opposition figure says opponents of Egypt’s long-running regime should be able to follow the lead set by the toppling of Tunisia’s president.
