After what had happened last January 14, when the burned bodies of car dealers Venson Evangelista and Emerson Lozano and his companion Ernane Sensil was found in separated places in Central Luzon, justice for the said crimes is now on action. According to the police department, they had arrested two suspects, and evidences have been found used by the Dominguez car theft syndicate in an apartment.
Head gunshot wound, burned body with Kerosene and Tires beyond recognition: these similar styles used in killings were not just mere coincidence and it puzzled the authorities. Police are now investigating to prove that the motive for the crime is not just a plain car theft or carnapping.
According to the report, the said suspects are often found in Greenville Subdivision who changed their cars very often, and p(–foul word(s) removed–)ed themselves off as employees of the Department of Agrarian Reform and Department of Agriculture.
The two suspects were Alfred Mendiola, alias Bading, and Batibot Parulan, who were nabbed in the operation made by the authorities in Dasmariñas, Cavite at around 2:30 a.m., SITG yielded three handguns, bullets, hand-held radio sets and batteries, 22 sets of car plates and metal plates with engraved ch(–foul word(s) removed–)is or body numbers. Mendiola and Parulan were charged with kidnapping with murder and carnapping and are subjected to inquest proceedings on the prosecutor’s office.
The Central Luzon police director Chief Supt. Alan Purisima agreed agreed with the (–foul word(s) removed–)sment made by Philippine National Police Director General Raul Bacalzo and officials of the Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) in a statement issued from Camp Olivas. Part of the statement read: “[The result of the search] as well as the statements of the two [suspects Alfredo Mendiola and Batibot Parulan] effectively solves the Venson Evangelista, Emerson Lozano and Ernane Sensil murders/[car theft] cases [and] several other [car theft] incidents in Metro Manila and Central Luzon.”
