Motorola Milestone 2 not Better than Android

The Motorola Milestone 2 is an update of the original Milestone. It is made of the same metal cover as the original milestone that gives a solid and secure feeling about the durability of the mobile. The Milestone is powered by 1 GHz TI OMAP processor with 512 MB of RAM. The screen is 3.7 inches with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The battery life is 1400mAh capacity, which is enough to survive one day under extensive use. The camera is 5 megapixels dual camera with autofocus. The video recording is 720p. Motorola Milestone 2 is equipped with Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi and GPS connectivity.

The display is very crisp but still less bright compared to the AMOLED and LCD screens. The responsiveness of the display is overall good. The QWERTY keyboard is very flat and small space between the keys. The interface used is MOTOBLUR instead of Android, which gives upgraded Facebook and Twitter applications. On the other hand, Motoblur is not operating fast even with 1 GHZ speed. The main downside of Motoblur is the updates. Therefore, when you want to open applications, it takes more time than expected. Compared to Android, it is very slow bringing updates because of Motoblur customizations that make the process slow. The user interface is also not good looking with icons of complicated designs.  The call quality of the milestone is fairly good thanks to its loudspeakers. When you take shots, if the lightning is enough, you get fair and accurate pictures. Otherwise, there is a little bit graininess when the lights are scarce. The mobile is lighter and slimmer than the old milestone with a sober looking that may please some.

The QWERTY keyboard of the Milestone is very good even compared to the Desire Z. however, when it comes to performance, the Android phones are better. Motoblur is the main inconvenience of the Milestone.
