With the launch of the new Fascinate, Samsung is penetrating the Android market very strongly. If you want to use the Samsung Fascinate, you will heavily rely on the touchscreen and the navigation buttons of Android. The design of this Samsung is not innovative with a silver band on the sides. The main material used in plastic, which give the impression that it is fragile. This simple design made of the Fascinate an unnoticeable device compared t the other phones in market. Certainly it is small with 4 inches size, but it is more comfortable while typing compared to the iPhone. The samsung’s thickness is like the iPhone. The phone is a black touchscreen superphone launched to compete with the Droid.
The camera of the Fascinate is 5 megapixels with LED flash. It is working well, even in case of low lights and nights setting, you still can have good clear pictures. The video quality was impressive with 720p. It produces very smooth images that are of good quality once you view them on TV. The mobile is 1GHz speed in microprocessor, 512MB for the RAM and a microSD slot that comes with 16 GB that you can extend till 32 GB. The Fascinate has WiFi and Bluetooth connection. The AMOLED display is 800 x 480. An inconvenience of the keyboard is the absence of a specific @ key. Each time you want to send an email, you will have to look for SYM key and then shift.
The phone and speakers quality was very good with a very accurate volume and tone. The Samsung Fascinate is equipped with Android 2.1 version with a TouchWizskin as all the other Galaxy S phones. The phone is not a weak or bad choice; it has some compromises that were undertaken by Samsung and Verizon in order to make it closer to Droid X or Droid Incredible. It has a reasonable Android platform but nothing new compared to the other Galaxy S phones.
