Sony Ericsson Xperia X10: The Latest Android OS

Sony Ericsson is the new mobile phone Company that adopted Google Android for one of its latest smartphones. The Xperia X10 has Android 1.6 operating system combined with few features of the version 2.1 and 2.2. The OS has 1GHz speed but operates like a 528 MHz; the same problem encountered in the Nexus One.  It has 1 GB storage in of internal memory expendable to 32 GB and a microSD of 8 GB.

The phone has 8.1 megapixels camera with an LED flash that is considered the best in the Android phones market. This makes the picture quality very good and even perfect lightning. It has a WVGA at 30fps video recording. The phone is also equipped with Walkman as a music player that produces descent audio quality. The speakerphone is also exceptional with clear and loud enough volume. The Xperia is featuring 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.

The screen of the Xperia is 4 inches with a full VGA display. It has a huge screen like the HTC HD two. The battery life is Li-Po with 1500mAh that can stand up to 10 hours talk time. It has a very user friendly design with Timescape and Mediascape applications. Nevertheless, the timescape application heeds a third party for Outlook and does not work for the messaging application. The main problem in the Xperia X10 is the virtual keyboard. When using the back button to clear, it clears everything you wrote. However, the Android is still a very powerful mobile that is hard to come by. The mobile is made of glossy plastic in the front that gives a good look as long as it is new and unscratched. For the back, the battery cover is made of a high quality smooth material that gives a gentle touch. The design is simply gorgeous.

Overall, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 has a performance uneven with great design and look. It needs only some modification concerning the keyboard and the Timescape application.
