Pakistan Beats New Zealand in Third T20 International

Pakistan has thrashed New Zealand in the third international T20 by 103 runs. All rounder Abdul Razzaq destroyed both New Zealand bowlers and batsman in the match by securing 3-13 in bowling and scored 34 not out of just 11 balls. Although, Pakistan had already lost the series but it was the case of pride for the 2009 World T20 champions.

Batting first, Pakistan put in a mammoth total of 183-6 in their 20 overs.  Ahmad Shahzad and Abdul Razzaq were pick of the batsman as their hard hitting ensured that Pakistan reached a big total of 183. James Franklin bowled beautifully and took 2-12 in his 4 over’s spell. Ahmad Shahzad scored 54 runs while Abdul Razzaq remained not out on 34.

Big Run Chase

It was always going to be a tough task for the New Zealand batsman to score 184 runs against a very good bowling line up of Pakistan and it was proved when New Zealand were struggling at 11-5 with their first four top order batsman getting out on ducks. Abdul Razzak destroyed the New Zealand top order by taking 3 wickets and he was pretty much helped by his Captain Shahid Afridi as he took 4 wickets by just giving away 14 runs in the process. Scot Styris was the only New Zealand batsman who survived the bowling attack of Pakistan as he scored 45 runs but in the end his efforts were in vain as New Zealand were bowled out for only 80 runs.

Test Series Coming Up

Both teams will be looking forward to the 2 test match series starting from 7th January. Keeping Pakistani batting performance in mind we can say that their batting will need to improve a lot if they want to give a tough fight to Kevis in test matches. On the other hand, New Zealand just need to concentrate on their batting as well because it is predictable that Pakistani batting line up will suffer on fast pitches. So we are installed for an excellent series between the two teams .
