Duterte threatens Sereno to raised the possibility that he will declare martial law in the Philippines if the judiciary will interrupt his ongoing campaign against in illegal drugs in the country.
According to a report, Tuesday, August 9, 2016, President Rodrigo Duterte hit back at Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno against the vigilante killings in the country.
Duterte announced to the public his statement against the Chief Justice after Sereno wrote him a letter as regards the seven judges that Duterte named in his list of alleged coddlers of drug dealers.
The ongoing war of the president’s campaign to end the illegal drugs activities in the Philippines was the main issue during the incident. The president gave a warning to Sereno by telling her not to interfere in his campaign against drug trafficking in the country.
