Incoming president Rodrigo Duterte chose Mon Tulfo’s sister as Tourism Secretary.
President-elect Rodrigo Duterte named three more members of his incoming cabinet. He named the veteran journalist Mon Tulfo’s sister Wanda Corazon Tulfo Teo as his Department of Tourism secretary.

This was announced by the incoming presidential deputy spokesperson Ernesto Corpuz Abella during a press briefing at the presidential guest house in Davao City on Monday.
Teo is the sister of Mon Tulfo, one of the biggest supporters of Duterte during the campaign. She is the owner of Mt. Apo Travel and Tours and heads the National Association of Independent Travel Agencies (NAITAS).
According to Abella, the tough-talking mayor pick Dr. Paulyn Jean Rosell-Ubial as the secretary of Department of Health. She is currently the assistant secretary of the government agency where she leads Office for Health Regulations.
Aside from Abella and Teo, Duterte chose Ramon Lopez as the chief of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Lopez is currently executive of the advocacy arm of the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship, Go Negosyo.
In a previous interview with Duterte, he promised that his cabinet family will be composed of the “best and brightest.” However, he noted that some of them might turn down the offer because of low salary.
The mayor also said that he will follow Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s cabinet which is composed of ethnic groups, social workers and a balance of men and women.
