The country’s weather bureau, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) confirmed that Bagyong Lando (international name: Koppu) enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday at around 2:00 PM.
PAGASA noted that Bagyong Lando was located based on all available data at 1,440 kilometers east of Luzon. Bagyong Lando packed a maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of up to 80 kph.
In the latest update by PAGASA released on Thursday morning, at 4:00 AM today, the tropical Storm “LANDO” was estimated based on all available data at 1,185 km East of Baler, Aurora, with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.
Bagyong Lando is forecast to move West at 22 kph. Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon.
Right now, PAGASA did not release yet the areas affected with Public Storm Warning Signals but we will update this post as soon as PAGASA release any new activities of the latest weather disturbance affecting the country.
