Sen. Bongbong Marcos to Announce Plans in the 2016 National Elections

One of the country’s most popular senator in the country today, Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos will announce his plans for the 2016 national elections in the next few days as the deadline for the filing of certificates of candidacy (COCs) is within a month to go.

According to the 57-year-old Bongbong Marcos he continues to iron out plans with several political parties and personalities. Sen. Marcos stated earlier that will surely run for a higher position in 2016 but still undecided whether he will run for Vice President or for President of the Philippines.

In an interview with the media, Sen. Marcos was quoted as saying “We are still deciding. Lahat ng tao, lahat ng partido, kausap kami. Hindi naman kami nagtatago, sinisikreto yung mga bagay na ganyan pero hindi pa tapos ang usapan,” Sen. Marcos stated.

Based upon the announcement of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) the scheduled filing of COCs is from October 12 to October 16, 2015.

One of the most prominent but controversial presidential candidate today, Vice President Jejomar Binay earlier confirmed that he is considering Sen. Marcos as a possible running mate in the 2016 national elections.

Senator Marcos was present during the commemoration of his father’s birthday on September 11, 2015, the 9th birthday of the country’s only strongman and dictator, former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos.

The lawmaker thanked his supporters during a mass offered by his family for the deceased president at Batac Church in Ilocos.
