Bobby Ray Parks Will Not Join the 2015 PBA Rookie Draft

Bobby Ray Parks the son of the legendary import Bobby Parks made an official statement that he will no join the 2015 PBA rookie draft because he opted to await opportunities to join the training camp of at least three NBA teams before the start of the Regular NBA season.

The announcement was released to the media through Ray Parks’ agent Charlie Dy who confirmed that the two-time UAAP MVP has ruled himself out of the August 23 PBA Draft.

The 22-year-old Ray Parks is currently in the United States awaiting an invitation from NBA teams to their training camp. The former NU Bulldogs star hopes to get invites from three NBA teams, but did not disclose the identity of the teams who are interested with Parks.

The agent of Parks also noted that for his guy to stay in shape for possible appearances in training camps, Charlie Dy noted that Ray Parks plans to go full blast with his conditioning when he goes back to Indiana following visits to relatives in Los Angeles and Memphis.

Ray Parks has not totally taken a break since his memorable stint in the NBA Summer League playing for the Dallas Mavericks, as he trains thrice a week during his vacation. The homegrown Fil-Am basketball star played in six games for the Mavericks where he averaged 3.0 points, 1.7 rebounds, 0.2 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.2 blocks.
